India Energy Stack Gains Momentum: Key Workshop in New Delhi Aligns Stakeholders on Implementation Roadmap
Jitendra Srivastava, CMD of REC Limited briefed participants on the outcomes of the Workshop on Operational Readiness & DISCOM Inputs

A high-level workshop on India Energy Stack (IES) adoption and its future roadmap was convened in New Delhi, bringing together key stakeholders to shape the next phase of India’s digital energy transformation.
The session saw active participation from members of the Task Force and Expert Working Groups (EWGs), with a clear focus on consolidating multi-stakeholder inputs and aligning on a coherent pathway for implementing the India Energy Stack.

Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman & Managing Director of REC Limited, delivered the opening remarks. He briefed participants on the outcomes of the Workshop on Operational Readiness & DISCOM Inputs held on April 23, 2026, highlighting the importance of early-stage coordination across utilities and policymakers.
The workshop was designed around three core objectives. First, it aimed to build strong stakeholder alignment on IES through structured engagement with the Task Force and EWGs. Second, it focused on co-developing implementation pathways through breakout discussions that captured operational, economic, regulatory, and technical perspectives. Third, it sought to proactively identify concerns and potential barriers, ensuring that the IES rollout strategy is robust, inclusive, and execution-ready.
The discussions underscored the growing importance of a unified digital infrastructure in India’s power sector, particularly in enabling smarter grids, improved DISCOM performance, and enhanced consumer services.
