A significant meeting on vigilance and good governance was held at the “Manthan” Auditorium of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) Headquarters in Ranchi under the chairmanship of Coal India Limited Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Brajesh Kumar Tripathi.

The meeting was attended by CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Human Resources) Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Technical/Operations) Chandrashekhar Tiwari, Director (Planning & Projects) Anoop Hanjura, CCL CVO Pankaj Kumar, along with General Managers and Heads of Departments from various divisions.

The programme commenced with a ceremonial welcome, where CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh felicitated CIL CVO Brajesh Kumar Tripathi with a shawl and bouquet, followed by the rendition of the Coal India song.

In his welcome address, CCL CVO Pankaj Kumar extended a warm greeting to Tripathi and highlighted that the CIL CVO acts as a strong bridge between the Ministry and the company. He noted that all “Coal Indians” are consistently working towards achieving corporate goals.

Addressing the gathering, CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh expressed his gratitude to the CIL CVO and outlined CCL’s achievements during FY 2025–26. He highlighted progress in forest land clearances, development of new mines, and the revival of long-closed mining operations.

He also emphasized the role of the ICCC system in enhancing transparency and strengthening monitoring in coal transportation, enabling better control over coal dispatch. Additionally, he spoke about initiatives such as CCTV surveillance in coalfields, financial performance, eco parks, solar power plants, “CCL Ke Lal aur CCL Ki Ladli,” JSSPS, and mine tourism projects. He also noted that CCL received a Coal India award for excellence in coal quality.

The highlight of the event was the keynote address by CIL CVO Brajesh Kumar Tripathi on the theme “Reform–Transform–Perform–Inform.” He stated that every “Coal Indian” is, in essence, a vigilance officer, emphasizing the message: “Vigilance is for you, by you, and with you always.”

He stressed that organizational progress is possible only when the management, the company, and employees share a common vision. He laid special emphasis on cyber security, reputation building, and quality improvement, adding that vigilance is embedded in every task and is a shared responsibility.

Appreciating the Coal India fraternity, he remarked that while earlier it was said, “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar,” today the spirit is “Jo Jeeta Wohi Coal Indians.” On the occasion, he also administered the “Integrity Promise” to all officers and employees present.

The programme concluded with CMD CCL presenting a memento to Tripathi. The vote of thanks was delivered by Director (HR) Harsh Nath Mishra, who appreciated the inspiring thoughts shared by the CIL CVO and emphasized that the goal of vigilance aligns with the organization’s objectives.

CCL continues to organize such interactive and motivational programmes to further strengthen vigilance, transparency, accountability, and efficiency among its workforce, ensuring their active and positive contribution towards organizational goals and nation-building.
