SAIL Transfers 23 Officers from Central Marketing Office in a Major Reshuffle
SAIL has also increased prices of several steel products amid strong market demand

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has carried out a major reshuffle of officers in its Central Marketing Organisation (CMO) as part of efforts to strengthen performance and drive business growth in FY 2026-27.
The transfer order covers 23 officers from Manager to General Manager level, including 14 officers from the CMO Headquarters in Kolkata. They have been directed to join their new postings by May 30 and June 8, 2026, respectively.
Among the key transfers, Senior Managers R.K. Yadav and T.P. Sameer Kumar have been moved to Bokaro, Sarang Bharti to Chandigarh, U.K. Akhil to Chennai, N. Satyanarayana to Hyderabad, and Kundan Kumar Singh to New Delhi.
The reshuffle comes soon after the appointment of SAIL CMD Dr. Ashok Kumar Panda and is being seen as part of a strategy to build a new team capable of delivering stronger results after the company’s robust performance in FY 2025-26.
Sources indicate that SAIL Headquarters is also reviewing postings of officers who have spent long tenures in the same department or unit. More transfers could follow, particularly alongside the promotion orders expected on June 30, 2026.
Meanwhile, SAIL has increased prices of several steel products amid strong market demand. HR Coil prices have risen from ₹44,000 to ₹51,000 per tonne, CR Coil from ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 per tonne, and TMT bars from ₹52,000 to ₹60,000 per tonne.
The company believes the organizational changes and favorable market conditions will help accelerate growth in the current financial year.
