Kishore Kumar Hota, Executive Director (Vindhyachal) at NTPC Limited, has been honoured with the prestigious “Public Sector Excellence – Leader of the Year” Award at the CEE 4th National Power-Gen Leadership Awards in New Delhi.
The award was presented on September 7 alongside the National Conference on Flexible Operations & Energy Transition, recognising Hota’s exemplary leadership, contribution to operational excellence and significant role in driving performance and sustainable growth in the power sector.
Hota is currently serving as Executive Director of NTPC Vindhyachal, one of the country’s major thermal power-generation facilities. His recognition comes against the backdrop of an evolving Indian power sector, where large generating stations are increasingly required to deliver high levels of operational reliability and efficiency while adapting to changing requirements arising from the energy transition.
The “Public Sector Excellence – Leader of the Year” award acknowledges Hota’s leadership and commitment to strengthening operational performance. It also reflects the importance of effective management at large-scale power-generation facilities, where plant availability, efficiency, safety, reliability and disciplined operations are critical to maintaining a stable power supply.
