SAIL Employees Wage Revision Approved
Pre-Diwali gift for SAIL employees from Government of India as pay revision was stuck for almost five years
Wage revision proposal for employees of Steel Authority of India Limited has been approved by the Government of India. SAIL Management has made a provision of Rs. 2005 crores for this purpose. This enhanced wage will come to effect from April 1, 2020 which means that the employees of the Steel PSU will get arrears from this date. This entails 15 percent Minimum Guarantee Benefit and 35 percent in perks.
Sources within unions say that they would now try to persuade the SAIL management and government to give arrears to SAIL employees with effect from January 1, 2017.
