AICPA And AIACE To Hold Dharnas At Kolkata, Singreni And New Delhi On February 12
Coal Associations to hold dharnas for pension revision - "CMPS-98"
On 07/12/2023 (Thursday), a virtual meeting of AICPA and AIACE was held on Zoom platform to take stock of the situation on the Pay conflict of Executives, Pension of retirees and Medical issues of Executives and employees.
Shri. P.K. Singh Rathor, Convenor, AIACE/AICPA welcomed the members and requested Shri R.B. Mathur, President, AIACE, to preside over the meeting. He also welcomed Shri Abdul Kalam. He requested Dr. B.K. Srivastva to give a summary of activities during the past few months.
Dr. Srivastva informed that Convenor had met Chairman as well as Director (P&IR), CIL on 16th October, 2023, and appraised them of the issues being faced by the working and retired executives and employees. The main issues are pay conflict arising out of NCWA-XI, revision of pension and CPRMS for executives and non-executives. Both, the Chairman and Director (P&IR) listened the issues and assured that action will be taken soon on these issues and requested the association to withdraw the notice of demonstration scheduled for 30th October, 2023. Chairman was impressed with the suggestion of the association that instead of
Cess of Rs.10/MT (proposed to be increased to Rs.20/MT), which is at present voluntary, it should be as a percentage of the sale price of coal to improve the financial position of the Pension Fund.
Shri Rathor explained that almost two months have passed but no initiative has been observed to be taken by CIL management and invited general opinion from the participating members, what to do now. Based on valuable suggestions made by participating Members important decisions taken as under:
- It is more than two months, our justified demands were submitted to CIL Chairman.
- CIL Chairman was also handed over a representation by Former CMD of BCCL, SECL, Sri R.B.Nathur on the subject of Revision of CMPS-98.
- Finally, it was decided that AICPA & AIACE will hold demonstration before offices of CIL, Kolkata & SCCL Kothagudem on 22Jan,2024 for fulfilment of pending demands of resolution of pay conflict, revision of Pension & CPRMS for executives and non-
executives etc. if not resolved by 31st Dec 2023. - AICPA & AIACE will hold Dharna at Jantar-Mantar on 12th February over pension revision- ” CMPS-98 “.
