Government Of India Issues Vacancy For Post Of CMD BPCL

Present CMD G. Krishnakumar to retire in April, 2025

Public Sector Headhunter – Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), on Thursday, issued vacancy for the post of Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). The present CMD of BPCL G. Krishnakumar is set to retire in April, 2025. The last date for submission of application is July 18, 2024. The last date for nodal officers to forward applications is July 29, 2024.

History of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited

The Burmah Shell was acquired by the Indian government on January 24, 1976, resulting in the creation of Bharat Refineries Limited. It changed its name to Bharat Petroleum Company Limited on August 1st, 1977. Also, it was the first refinery to process Bombay High, a recently discovered indigenous crude.
