HPCL Top Executives Accused Of Corrupt Practices : Complaint Againt 7 Maharatna PSU Officials Reaches CBI

The complaint says that juniors employees are being made scapegoat of incidents of theft of petrol and diesel from HPCL refineries while the main players escape untouched

Mr. Uday Shankar, Ex Working President of Hindustan Petroleum Management Staff Association, has, in a complaint to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), dated April 12, 2024, has levelled serious allegations of corruption against several senior executives of the oil behemoth Maharatna PSU. Those officials named in the complaint are :

a) Shri Amit Garg – Director Marketing
b) Shri K.S. Shetty, Director HR
c) Shri Rajneesh Narang, Director Finance
d) Shri Shridhar Gaud – Executive Director
e) Shri Subodh Batra – Executive Director
f) Shri A.K. Tiwari – Chief Vigilance Officer
g) Shri Rajesh Methani, Executive Director

The copy of the complaint has already also marked to the office of Mr. Pushp Joshi, CMD, HPCL and also to the office of JS and CVO – Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Mr. Uday Shankar has also alleged that senior officials of HPCL are even evading queries put forth by Members of Parliament or are giving delayed and wayward replies to them, in such cases.

www.indianpsu.com – sent an email to the office of Mr. Pushp Joshi, CMD of HPCL and also to Mr. Pankaj Jain, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, on April 12, 2024 and a further reminder on April 15, 2024, to get their views / comments on the complaint which seems to be of serious nature, but both the emails failed to elicit any response.
