Sputnik-V Vaccine Launched By Uttarakhand Chief Minister Today
CM also ties Rakhi to girls from Nari Niketan on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami launched Sputnik-V Vaccine at Graphic Era Institute of Medical Science Dhulkot Mafi, Selakui Road. Two minutes silence was observed on the death of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Kalyan Singh before the vaccination program started.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the COVID vaccination is going on at a rapid pace in the state. By the month of December this year, 100% vaccination will be done in the state. The state is getting full support from the central government for vaccination. So far this month, the state has received 17 lakh vaccines from the central government.
The Chief Minister said that vaccination camps have been organized in the remote areas of the state for mass vaccination in the state. The state government is also fully prepared for the possible third wave of Covid-19. Continuous efforts are being made to further strengthen the health facilities in the state.
Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the vaccination campaign is being expedited continuously. Bageshwar district is the first district to apply 100 percent dose of Kovid vaccine and Khirsu is the first block to apply the first dose of 100 percent Kovid vaccine. Today 100 people were vaccinated at the vaccination site on the launch of Sputnik Vaccine.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also tied Rakhi to the girls and other mothers and sisters who came from Nari Niketan on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan at the Chief Minister’s residence. Due to one day state mourning in Uttarakhand on the death of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Kalyan Singh ji, the program organized on Raksha Bandhan at CM’s residence was canceled. But the sisters who had reached the CM residence due to lack of information, were tied rakhi by the Chief Minister.
