Union Steel Minister HD Kumaraswamy Assures All Possible Assistance To RINL

This visit to the Steel PSU speaks volumes of the Union Minister's concern for RINL, MoS Steel Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma

In their maiden visit to Visakhapatnam steel plant, today, HD Kumaraswamy, Union Minister for Steel & Heavy Industries accompanied by Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries showed keen interest in the steel making process at RINL.

They first visited the Model room in ED (Works) building where Atul Bhatt, CMD RINL explained about the process and salient features of Visakhapatnam steel plant. Later, the Ministers visited RINL’s award gallery and congratulated RINL for bagging several prestigious National and International awards.

Later, HD Kumaraswamy and Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma visited the Coke Ovens department, blast furnace-3, steel melting shop-2 and Wire rod mill 2.

Later, they reviewed the performance of RINL with CMD, Directors, Chief vigilance officer and senior officials of RINL at CMD’s board room in main administration building.

Representatives of Steel Executives Association (SEA) interacted with the Hon’ble Ministers in the Board room.

Later, Hon’ble Union Ministers HD Kumaraswamy and Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma interacted with the representatives of various trade unions in the main conference hall of Visakhapatnam steel plant.

Addressing the representatives of trade unions, HD Kumaraswamy, Union Minister for Steel & Heavy Industries said that RINL family should not panic about the closure of the plant. HD Kumaraswamy said that with the blessings and support of Hon’ble Prime Minister, RINL’s production will reach at 100% capacity of the plant permanently.

During the plant visit, HD Kumaraswamy, Union Minister for Steel & Heavy Industries expressed that after visiting Visakhapatnam steel plant, he felt that RINL will help in improving India’s GDP.

Addressing the gathering, Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries said that it is the luck of the Visakhapatnam steel plant and people of Andhra Pradesh that HD Kumaraswamy is taking keen interest in RINL ever since he assumed charge as Union Steel Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries and said that his visit in such a short time to Visakhapatnam steel plant after assuming charge itself speaks volumes of his concern for RINL, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

Karuna Raju, IAS, Chief Vigilance Officer, RINL, CGMs, senior officials were also present on the occasion.
