NTPC Vindhyachal successfully concluded the vibrant VPL-2026 (Vindhyachal Premier League) and Junior VPL-2026 tournaments, marking the culmination of a two-week-long cricketing extravaganza filled with enthusiasm, competitive spirit, and community participation.

Featuring 10 teams, the tournament witnessed thrilling encounters, energetic performances, and overwhelming support from employees, associates, and their families, reinforcing the spirit of sportsmanship within the NTPC fraternity.

Nail-Biting Finale Keeps Fans on Edge

The grand finale of VPL-2026 turned into a high-voltage thriller, as Vindhyachal Warriors edged past Vindhyachal Strikers in a dramatic last-over finish.

Chasing a modest target of 84 runs, the Warriors staged a remarkable comeback after early setbacks. With nerves of steel, they clinched victory in style—smashing two consecutive boundaries off the final two deliveries—sending the crowd into celebration.

Junior VPL Sees Titans Rise

In the Junior VPL-2026, Vindhyachal Titans emerged as champions, while Royal Challenger Vindhyachal finished as runners-up, showcasing the rising sporting talent among the younger participants.

The closing ceremony was graced by Sanjib Kumar Saha, Head of Project (Vindhyachal), as Chief Guest, in the esteemed presence of A.J. Rajkumar, GM (O&M), S.K. Sinha, GM (Operation & FM) & President (Sports Council), and Ruma De Sharma, Head of HR (Vindhyachal).

The dignitaries congratulated all participants and lauded the efforts of the Sports Council, organizing committee, officials, players, supporters, and parents for making both VPL-2026 and Junior VPL-2026 a grand success.
