M. Sridhar Appointed Director (HR) at BHEL
Sridhar was serving as Executive Director (Human Resources) at the company's Corporate Office in New Delhi
M. Sridhar, 57, has assumed charge as Director (Human Resources) at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), bringing over 36 years of experience across manufacturing, commercial operations, project execution and human resource management.
Prior to his elevation to the BHEL Board, Sridhar was serving as Executive Director (Human Resources) at the company’s Corporate Office in New Delhi, where he headed the corporate HR function and drove key human resource policies and strategic people initiatives.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate from CBIT, Osmania University, Hyderabad, Sridhar holds an M.Tech in CAD/CAM from JNTU, Hyderabad, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He joined BHEL as an Engineer Trainee in 1990.
During his career, Sridhar has held several key leadership positions at BHEL’s Hyderabad unit and Corporate Office. His assignments have spanned the manufacturing of steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, along with contracts management, commercial operations, marketing, productivity and management services, planning and development, erection and construction, central dispatch and industrial relations.
He also served as General Manager and Head of Corporate Human Resource before being elevated to Executive Director (HR).
At the Corporate Office, Sridhar played a key role in formulating and implementing HR policies, strengthening performance management systems and driving strategic human resource initiatives aligned with BHEL’s organisational objectives.
His extensive experience across manufacturing, commercial operations and human resource management is expected to strengthen BHEL’s people strategy and support its organisational priorities.
