NTPC Simhadri Concludes Girl Empowerment Mission-2024
This four-week residential workshop, which began on 10th May, saw active participation from 120 girls from nearby villages
NTPC Simhadri successfully concluded its flagship CSR initiative, the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2024 on 7th June 2024.
The closing ceremony of GEM-2024 was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Suresh Chandra Pandey, Director (Personnel), RINL, who appreciated NTPC for its invaluable support to society and its efforts in empowering girls through various CSR activities. His motivating address encouraged the girls to continue striving for excellence and to dream big.
Shri S K Sinha (Head of Project, NTPC Simhadri) also congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the workshop. He extended his best wishes for their future success, urging them to aim high and touch the sky.

This programme included workshops aiming to engage the girl participants in various activities designed to enhance their academic motivation, personality development, and overall empowerment. The holistic approach of GEM ensures that these young girls are equipped with the tools necessary to achieve their dreams.
Every year, NTPC Simhadri takes offers admission to 10 top students in Bal Bharti Public School, providing free education up to the 10th grade. This initiative reflects NTPC Simhadri’s ongoing commitment to community development and education.
The ceremony was attended by the esteemed dignitaries including GMs, Head of HR, President-Deepika Ladies Club, DC CISF, CSR Team, the parents of GEM children and others.
