Sanjay Swarup, CMD, CONCOR Visits Braithwaite & Co. Limited to Strengthen Strategic Collaboration

Discussions also held on infrastructure development, supply chain optimization and leveraging indigenous engineering expertise to support India’s “Make in India” initiative

Sanjay Swarup, Chairman and Managing Director, Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), along with Ajit Kumar Panda, Director (Projects & Services), and CONCOR team, visited Braithwaite & Co. Limited (BCL) on December 13, 2024. The visit marked a significant step towards fostering collaboration between the two organizations to enhance India’s logistics and manufacturing capabilities.

Md. Asad Alam, Chairman and Managing Director, BCL and senior officials of BCL warmly welcomed the guests. During the visit, Sanjay Swarup and Ajit Kumar Panda inspected the 20-ft ISO Tank Container designed for bulk cement transportation, as well as the BLSS Wagon (25T Spine Car) at the workshop. They also reviewed other wagons and containers being manufactured for CONCOR.

Expressing his admiration for BCL’s advanced capabilities and operational efficiency, Sanjay Swarup said, “Braithwaite has demonstrated exceptional engineering expertise and a commitment to excellence. As CONCOR continues to expand its logistics infrastructure, we see immense potential for collaboration in areas such as wagon and container procurement.”

Md. Asad Alam assured for commitment of BCL to complete supply order of CONCOR and strengthening ties with CONCOR, emphasizing the importance of such partnerships in achieving shared goals of enhancing efficiency and sustainability in the logistics and rail sectors.

Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) is a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways and Braithwaite & Co. Limited is a Miniratna-I CPSU under the Ministry of Railways. Both organizations under Ministry of Railways aims to work together to enhance the nation’s logistics infrastructure and contribute to the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission.
