Uttarakhand Welcomes Country For Destination Wedding In The Hill State

Helipad and road connectivity will be improved in Triyugi Narayan

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a meeting with officials in the Secretariat and gave instructions to promote destination weddings in Uttarakhand. Along with improving road connectivity in Triyugi Narayan, he also ordered the construction of a helipad there.

More new wedding destinations to be identified in the state

The Chief Minister directed that new places should be identified for destination weddings in the state and attention should be paid to their development. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has also urged the countrymen to give priority to Uttarakhand for destination weddings.

The state’s economy to get a big boost

The Chief Minister said that destination weddings will strengthen the state’s economy. The natural beauty and modern facilities of Uttarakhand will help in making it a major wedding destination. He directed the Tourism Department to prepare a guideline for “Destination Uttarakhand” soon.

Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj, Vice Chairman Infrastructure Monitoring Council Vishwas Dabur, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary R. K. Sudhanshu, R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Sachin Kurve, Additional Director General of Police V. Murugeshan, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey and IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop were present in this meeting.
