EY India, Has Work Atmosphere Changed After Death Of Anna Sebastian Perayil?

An anonymous email, "supposedly" from an EY employee, comes with startling revelations that all is still not well

Some former employees of EY India, have contacted www.indianpsu.com – to complain about the toxic work environment within the organization. It seems to be the same story for almost all who have contacted us till date. Some have even mentioned that their bonus was not given, while others complained of gratuity not being paid. There are some who say that their Relieving Letters are being delayed by the organization for many months now as a lack of which they are unable to apply elsewhere. These professionals have spoken to us on condition of strict anonymity as they do not want their names to be embroiled into controversy as it would be difficult to find new employment in the corporate world”.

They have confided with us that despite good performance for months, one fine morning they were called by the HR and asked to resign.

Once they asked the reason for the same, they were told that their work was not up to the mark. When the employee questioned that all these months his/her performance was rated good, how did it turn unsatisfactory all of a sudden ?

They say that they were categorically told to put in their papers and leave with their three months benefits, or else they would be fired immediately and loose this three month salary and perks as well.

Astonishing and out of the blue for www.indianpsu.com was an anonymous email received from an address – “crsiddu.24@gmail.com” on October 12, 2024, at 23:47 hours. The sender says –

“Hi Vivek,
FYI.

Just wanted to inform you that there has been no changes in workload in the EY organisation and looks like it’s going to continue.

Regards,
Siddu

The same email was send to some addressed including those from the Labour Department of Karnataka Government and some other addresses.

www.indianpsu.com does now vouch for the authenticity of the sender of the message, but the content of the email and the language/content suggests that it could well be from an insider from EY India, who chooses to be anonymous. The same email was forwarded by www.indianpsu.com to the India Head of EY, Rajiv Memani, for his comments but he again did not come on record.

www.indianpsu.com also asked EY India Head, Rajiv Memani, that we would like to know the number of persons who have left his esteemed organization in the past three years on their own (resigned) and how many have been retrenched/sacked by your esteemed organization? But he chose not to reply to this question as well. In all, we sent three emails to the EY India Head, but there was no response to any of them.
