Teachers Play Vital Role in Nation-Building and Shaping Students’ Personalities: Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka
Dronacharya Sangam Teacher Felicitation Ceremony Held at SECL DAV School, Bilaspur
Teachers play a crucial role in nation-building and in shaping the knowledge, personality and future of students, Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka said at a teacher felicitation ceremony in Bilaspur.
The Dronacharya Sangam Teacher Felicitation Ceremony was organised at SECL DAV School, Bilaspur, with Governor Ramen Deka attending as the Chief Guest.
The programme began with the garlanding of the portrait of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India and eminent educationist. The dignitaries recalled his contribution to the field of education.
Teachers from DAV schools functioning across various operational areas of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) were felicitated for their outstanding contribution and dedication.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Ramen Deka said student life is an important phase in an individual’s development, with teachers playing a significant role in shaping students’ knowledge, personality and future. The lessons imparted by teachers, he said, continue to influence students throughout their lives.
Deka told students that there are no shortcuts to success and stressed the importance of hard work, discipline and dedication. He also urged them to avoid procrastination and laziness and maintain a continuous desire to learn.
The Governor further called upon students to think beyond their individual interests and consider their responsibilities towards society and the nation. He urged them to use their knowledge and abilities to make a positive contribution to society.
The ceremony was attended by Sunil Jain, Commissioner, Bilaspur Division; Biranchi Das, Director (Human Resources), SECL; Himanshu Jain, Chief Vigilance Officer, SECL; K. Parthipan, Principal, SECL DAV Bilaspur; Maulika Mukherjee, ARO, DAV Bilaspur Region; and Suchitra Sharma, Principal, SECL DAV Korba, among other dignitaries.
Collector Sanjay Agrawal and Senior Superintendent of Police Rajnesh Singh, along with senior officials of SECL and the District Administration, were also present at the event.
