RINL Higher Pensioners Seek Immediate Release of Pending Pension and Arrears
The delegation expressed hope that the EPFO would take prompt corrective action and bring relief to the pensioners

Representatives of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) Higher Pensioners on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (RPFC), Visakhapatnam, seeking the immediate release of pending higher pension and pension arrears.
The delegation, led by S. Atma Rama Sarma and M.N. Prasad, met PRO Sri Srinivas Nayak and urged the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) authorities to resolve the matter at the earliest.
According to the memorandum, 277 higher pensioners have not received their pension and arrears for June, July and August 2026, despite their Digital Life Certificates (Jeevan Praman) having already been approved by the EPFO.
The pensioners said the delay has caused considerable hardship, particularly to elderly beneficiaries who are dependent on their monthly pension for their day-to-day needs.
They urged the EPFO authorities to rectify the reported technical issue without further delay and ensure the immediate credit of pending pension and arrears to all 277 affected pensioners.
The delegation expressed hope that the EPFO would take prompt corrective action and bring relief to the pensioners who have been awaiting their legitimate dues.
