Arvindar Singh Sahney Is New Chairman Of IOCL
Sahney was serving as Executive Director (Petrochemicals) at IOCL
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has selected Arvindar Singh Sahney as the new Chairman Of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). He was serving as Executive Director (Petrochemicals) at IOCL and designate -Director (Planning & Business Development) of Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
This appointment to the top post comes as a surprise for many other contenders vying for this post. There was a malicious and mud-slinging campaign against Arvindar Singh Sahney, as some of his competitors were using abstract means to malign his reputation by sending proxy complaints to the PMO and Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, which were thoroughly examined by authorities and found to be baseless.
Finally, the largest PSU of IndianOil gets its full time head after a span of 15 months. Initially, the tenure of S M Vaidya was extended by 12 months against all precedence, even after attaining the retirement age of 60 years. Later, Director (Marketing), V. Satish Kumar, was given additional charge of Chairman for 3 months.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited is facing unprecedented challenges due to one of the worst quarterly results in its history, due to non payment of under recovery of LPG, inventory loss, not increasing the pump price for MS & HSD and low refining margins.
www.indianpsu.com congratulates Arvindar Singh Sahney and wishes him all the very best for his new stint.
