The content of the letter is given below for the benefit of the viewers of www.indianpsu.com

To,
Shri Narendra Modi,

Hon’ble Prime Minister,
Government of India,

South Block, New Delhi.
Sub: Request to Roll Back Move to Privatise NALCO, a Navratna CPSE – Regarding

Dear Prime Minister Modi ji,

We request you to roll back your government’s move to privatise National Aluminium Company Ltd. We vehemently oppose the disastrous plan of your government to implement 100 per cent strategic disinvestment in National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) by way of privatisation. NALCO is a Navaratna company under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India.

Nalco, established in January 7, 1981, has been the top most CPSE, producing and exporting high quality Alumina and Aluminium for the last 40 years. I want to draw our attention to the fact that there is widespread resentment among the people and workers in particular to the anti-worker and anti-people move. It is also a fact that NALCO, since inception has been making profits and continues to have a consistent track record in production, productivity, technology upgradation, etc. It is the highest foreign exchange earner CPSE in the country. The CPSE has been giving sizable share of dividends to national and state exchequers as well as to the shareholders.

In the light of the above fact, I request you to reconsider the move in the best interests of the country, workers and people.

Hope you will take positive steps in this regard.

A line in reply will be highly appreciated.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely,
S/d
D. RAJA
General Secretary
