At the age of 59, when most people shy away from strenuous tasks, Chhabra has showcased immense courage and perseverance
With determination and a desire to achieve the extraordinary, any summit can be conquered. NTPC Unchahar’s Head of Project, Mandeep Singh Chhabra, has proven this by successfully reaching the Everest Base Camp and proudly hoisting the Indian and NTPC flags on the world’s highest mountain range.
At 59, when most people shy away from strenuous tasks, Chhabra showcased immense courage and perseverance to accomplish this remarkable feat amidst the challenging conditions of the Himalayas. Despite harsh weather, unseasonal snowfall, and continuous rain, he remained resolute in his mission. The treacherous route to Everest had been damaged by snowfall, and communication services were disrupted, yet Chhabra continued undeterred.
This achievement not only highlights Chhabra’s personal grit but also reflects the spirit of NTPC employees, who excel not only in power generation but also in venturing into uncharted territories. By reaching Everest Base Camp, Chhabra has brought great pride to both NTPC Unchahar and the entire NTPC community.
The management and staff, along with various union and association representatives, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Chhabra for this inspiring accomplishment. He, in turn, credited his success to the constant support and best wishes of the NTPC family.
This extraordinary feat has become a source of pride and motivation for the entire NTPC workforce.
