Uttarakhand CM Announces Rs. 25 Lakh Reward For Indian Women Hockey Player Vandana Kataria
Though the team could not win a medal, it created history of sorts by reaching the semifinals of Tokyo Olympics
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced a reward of Rs 25 lakh to Vandana Katariya, member of the Indian Women`s Hockey team which participated in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Vandana became the first Indian woman hockey player to score an Olympic hat-trick, on July 31, when India beat South Africa 4-3, to keep their quarterfinal hopes alive.
Vandana scored in the first, second, and fourth quarters of India`s last match of Pool A, to etch her names in history books.
